My goal is to help dissect the molecular pathways that are important in the crosstalk between tumor and the immune system inside the tumor microenvironment (TME) to enhance the efficacy of current immuno blockade (anti-PD1 and anti-CTLA4) therapy for the treatment of cancer. I am particularly interested in exploring how tumor cells modulate the innate and adaptive immune systems to favor their growth as well as metastasis.
