I was born & raised in New York City and obtained my medical degree from SUNY Downstate College of Medicine, graduating with a Distinction in Research. I completed my Internal Medicine residency training at NYU Winthrop Hospital and after graduation stayed for another year as an attending physician. I then joined the first combined class of Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship here at MSKCC. My research/areas of interest are varied and include pulmonary vascular disease, sleep-related breathing disorders in cancer patients, and acute lung injury in immunocompromised patients.

I grew up in Nashua, New Hampshire and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree at Boston University, majoring in Cultural Anthropology and minoring in Biology. I then attended St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies. I completed my Internal Medicine Residency at Northwell Health- Forest Hills Hospital, where I served as a chief resident during my third year. I became interested in pulmonary disease and critical care medicine in residency, during which time I was involved in research on tracheobronchomalacia and inhaled corticosteroids. I then chose to continue my education here at MSKCC, where we are fortunate enough to serve a diverse and unique patient population.

I was born and raised on Long Island, NY and graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology. I then graduated with a Master’s degree in Pharmacology at Georgetown University and followed my studies with an Intramural Research Training Award Fellowship at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD. Later on, I completed my medical degree at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, and then my Internal Medicine Residency at Northwell Health – Lenox Hill Hospital. At Lenox Hill, I developed an interest in caring for critically ill patients, and for those with COPD, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary manifestations of cancer, and drug induced toxicity of the respiratory system. As part of the MSKCC team, I am pursing my academic interests that include studying the adverse pulmonary effects of radiation therapy on patients already on immunotherapy, as well assessing the efficacy and safety of novel agents for distributive shock in our intensive care unit. Outside of medicine, I enjoy traveling, cooking, and rooting for the New York Knicks, Giants, and Mets.

2^nd year PCCM fellows—second class of the now 3 year combined Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Fellowship starting July 1, 2019

I am originally from Los Angeles, CA and graduated from MIT with an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Masters in Bioengineering. I went on to attend Wayne State University School of Medicine followed by an Internal Medicine and Chief residency at Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center before joining MSK for PCCM.

I was born and raised in Edison, NJ and attended Rutgers University for my degrees in Kinesiology and Biomedical Sciences. I attended medical school in South Jersey at Rowan University, formerly the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ). I completed my Internal Medicine residency at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, under RWJBarnabas Health, where I also served as Chief Resident, before joining MSK for my fellowship training. My goal is to pursue academic medicine and clinical education, combining my passions for teaching and medicine in order to help shape the physicians of tomorrow. Outside of work, I love writing, playing pool, and spending time with family and friends.

I grew up in the California Bay Area before moving to Ireland to attend the Royal College of Surgeons for medical school, during which time I participated in Cystic Fibrosis and Asthma research. I then matched to Lenox Hill Hospital for Internal Medicine - here, in working with inspiring pulmonary and critical care physicians, I developed a strong interest in the field. I am thrilled to now be a part of the Pulmonary & Critical Care Fellowship here at MSKCC. Outside of work, I enjoy reading, baking, swimming, and hiking.

I grew up in northeastern Pennsylvania and attended medical school at Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine in Scranton. Afterwards I completed my Internal Medicine residency at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital- Rutgers. My interests in Pulmonary and Critical Care medicine stem from residency where I was involved in multiple research projects in asthma/COPD and angioedema. I have further academic interests in interstitial lung disease and lung cancer, and look forward to the unique training offered here at MSKCC. Outside of medicine, I enjoy eating diverse foods, music and spending time with friends and family.

Originally from Vietnam, I was fortunate to have experience working in almost ten different hospital systems in the United States throughout the internal medicine residency at Medstar Harbor hospital in Baltimore and pulmonary and critical care fellowship at Saint Louis University hospital to learn about a variety of pulmonary diseases and critical illness. For three years in a row, I won the best in respiratory research in my residency and fellowship programs and I was selected by American Thoracic Society to help formulate clinical practice guidelines in respiratory care. I became interested in Interventional Pulmonology in my second year of fellowship when one of my patients was saved by an endobronchial valve from a life-threatening bronchopleural fistula. Lung cancer is still the most common cause of cancer related death in the United States. My passion is excellence in early lung cancer diagnosis, treatment, and symptom alleviation by non-invasive procedures. I am interested in studying special techniques and incorporating software development to increase diagnostic yield of pulmonary nodules. I really hope that my patients will greatly benefit from my special skill sets and the methodology trained by the best interventional pulmonologists here at MSKCC.
