Harold’s interest in hematology piqued during his medical training at Christian Medical College, Vellore. This was further bolstered during residency training in Internal Medicine at Mount Sinai and in-patient rotations at Memorial Sloan Kettering. Subsequently, he completed a research fellowship at NYU, studying post -transcriptional regulation of genes in normal and aging hematopoiesis. Thereafter he joined Dr van den Brink’s laboratory, continuing along his line of interest in aging hematopoiesis and is currently involved in research projects understanding the molecular underpinnings which drive thymus aging.
