The Department of Radiation Oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center offers a one-year Hematologic Radiation Oncology clinical fellowship.
The one-year clinical fellowship focuses on advanced clinical training in the field of hematologic malignancies. This includes the management of Hodgkin’s disease, non-Hodgkin’s lymphomas, leukemias, and multiple myeloma. There will be an emphasis on the integration of radiation therapy into combined modality programs, in addition to a focus on the autologous and allogeneic stem cell transplantation.
Over 350 new hematologic malignancies patients are seen annually in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering, and over 1000 patients are referred to the lymphoma management team every year. They not only represent the full scope of this group of diseases, but they also provide a challenge and opportunity to understand the disease. Fellows will be able to excel into management using the most modern tools of radiotherapy, including intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), positron emission tomography (PET)-fusion, and IMRT-fusion planning. The fellow is expected to interact closely with members of the bone marrow transplantation, lymphoma, myeloma, and leukemia management teams. The fellow will have opportunities to be involved in Memorial Sloan Kettering’s modern radiation oncology treatment, planning, and brachytherapy.

The prerequisite for the program is the completion of an accredited American or Canadian Radiation Oncology Residency program.
