MSK Named HLNY 2021 Diversity Leader Award Recipient

MSK was named the Healthcare Leaders of New York (HLNY) 2021 Diversity Leader Award recipient. The award was presented at a recent panel discussion led by Nicola Buchanan, Associate Director, Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (ED&I), where leading healthcare executives directly addressed how organizations are tackling equity, diversity, access, and trust in healthcare.

Each year, HLNY awards a diversity leader who has proven a commitment to eliminate healthcare disparities and increase diversity in governance and leadership. These organizations have taken the national #123 for Equity Pledge and have prioritized advancing health equity for all, as well as expanding leadership opportunities for diverse employees in health management.

Driving Cultural Change

For several years, MSK has put an increased focus on bringing equality, diversity, and inclusion values to life. Within the last 12 months, MSK introduced organization-wide mandatory ED&I learning programs and workshops, new departments and leadership roles, and employee councils have grown to ensure everyone has a voice and seat at the table.

We are proud to continue to explore ways of diversifying our workforce, leadership, and network of suppliers while ensuring its world-class cancer care is equally accessible to all.
