The Memorial Sloan Kettering Oncology Acupuncture training program offers acupuncturists a unique opportunity for clinical training. Under the guidance of MSK clinician mentors, trainees will become part of an interdisciplinary team providing care to people with cancer.

Trainees will learn how to develop safe, effective, personalized acupuncture treatment plans for a range of conditions utilizing both TCM and Western principles. Participants gain access to a world class institution and community of clinical researchers united in their dedication to providing a patient-centered holistic approach to cancer care.

The application deadline for the 2019 to 2020 academic year has now passed. Recruitment for next year will begin again in the spring of 2020.

Candidates should have:

  • a New York State License in acupuncture
  • one to five years of full-time acupuncture experience
  • strong interest in developing a specialized expertise in caring for oncology patients.
  • a desire to work within a hospital setting or with a multidisciplinary integrative medicine team

Oncology acupuncture trainees receive:

  • a part-time position for one year (10 hours per week)
  • a salary and eligibility for vacation and sick time
