Education

BS, Northeastern University

Samuel Kaplan graduated from Northeastern University with a degree in Biochemistry. Following a co-op at Rubius Therapeutics, he joined the manufacturing group of the organization for the next two years. He worked on erythrocyte differentiation protocol development, scale-up, characterization, and designed a new filtration system to remove nucleated cells and pyrenocytes from the culture. Inspired by the potential of stem cell differentiation for both basic research and clinical translation, Sam found the Huangfu lab especially well-suited among an extensive list of accomplished groups.
