The Translational Research Oncology Training Program (TROT) at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center offers two-year training grants to postdoctoral fellows. The program provides early-career scientists with opportunities to work collaboratively with clinicians and scientists, and to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to pursue a research agenda that links basic science and clinical research.
Directed by Charles Sawyers, Chair of the Human Oncology and Pathogenesis Program, TROT offers a unique opportunity for trainees to build a solid foundation in the field of oncology research. The goal of the program is to support the development of PhD scientists who possess both a sophisticated understanding of a discipline in basic science and the ability to translate their research ideas into meaningful clinical applications.
